Meet Benicia's new Poet Laureate, Don Peery and join poets and poetry lovers. Bring poems about labor if you can but of course all poems are welcome.  Also, please bring at least one copy of poems you intend to read that night for a file of shared poetry for the group. 

Public Internet and Catalog is Down

Due to a power outage in Fairfield, our public internet computers are down.  Our catalog is down also.  Until the computers come back up, you can check out up to 5 items only if you have your library card.

The news is full of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, and the two patients who have been transported to the United States for treatment. You may have questions. The CDC has issued information on the ebola outbreak in West Africa.  Please see their webpage or the attachment below for answers to your questions.

Library to Go Holds and Check Out Features

Library to Go has added new features to your holds.  When you place a hold you can now check mark a box to automatically check out your hold to you when it is ready.   No more worries about missing the notification that your hold is ready. 

Secondly, you can now suspend your holds, if you are not ready to receive it yet.  Log into Library to Go with your library card number and click on Account and then click on "Click Here to Review Your Holds."  Click the Options button on each hold and select the option you want.

Build a Bot Workshop

In this workshop, we will be building two small examples of robots you can put together in a few minutes. These projects are great for kids.

New Water Ordinance

Effective July 1 until October 15, outside watering schedule:

Customers with addresses ending in an ODD number can water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Customers with addresses ending in an EVEN number can water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Watering only allowed between 7 pm and 8 am.
