Every month Benicia's Poet Laureate, Lois Requist, chooses a poem of the month from participants of the First Tuesday Poetry Group.  See the poem chosen for December and find other poems chosen from other months. 

Remember all are welcome to attend the First Tuesday Poetry Group.  Next meeting is February 5th at 6:30 p.m.

Lois Requist, Benicia's Poet Laureate will do a reading of her work.  Lois says, "While I've never made a living writing, I have created a life--one that makes sense to me."  By talking about her writing in connection with her life, she hopes to give additional meaning and context to the work.

Learn how to draw comic books!

Cartoonist Age Scott will show you ways to create a great comic! This is a continuation of his previous two workshops, and he will be teaching new drawing skills today! If you're new to drawing, don't worry. You'll pick up the skills.

Stop by the Library to sign up for the most important school supply of all: a library card!  Available to anyone over the age of 4.

Show your creative side and use your hands to make original mini masterpieces.  We will have all of the supplies to make duct tape wallets, painted seashells, pet rocks and other crafty things to keep you busy this summer!
