Summer Reading Program Ends August 31

Congratulations to all those who participated in Summer Reading for kids and teens.  Don't forget that Saturday, August 31st is the last day to pick up your prizes for all the reading you've accomplished!   

Visual Catalog Has Been Upgraded

The Visual Catalog has been upgraded with a new and improved interface. Note the large Place Hold and Add to List buttons.  You can rate the book by clicking on the stars below the picture of the item and log in write a review.  Click on All Copies to see the libraries who own copies.

Teen Volunteer shifts for summer are completely full. If you turn an application in now, you will be placed on the waiting list and will only be contacted if a spot becomes available.

Please remember that applications for the school year will be out on June 1st. These shifts will also fill up very quickly so please turn your application in very soon to guarantee your spot for the school year.

Poets at the Art Walk

Hear poetry with Benicia's Poet Laureate, Lois Requist, and members of the First Tuesday Poetry Group in combination with the monthly First Street Art Walk.  The readings will be at the following times and locations:  5 pm next to the Plein Air Art Gallery at Joyous Spaces, 6 pm at Gallery 621 and 7 pm at Bookshop Benicia.  Come, read, listen!
