Charged Particles - Plugged-In Jazz with a Spark!

You won't want to miss this trio who have performed at Yoshi's San Francisco, the Jupiter in Berkeley and the Faultline Brewing Company in Sunnyvale. Charged Particles include Murray Low on keyboards, Jon Krosnick on drums and Aaron Germain on acoustic and electric basses.   Notable jazz publications call this group "electrifying," "definitely dazzling," and "fresh, energized and contemporary jazz!"

Downtown Scarecrow Contest

Many of the downtown businesses including the Library have built scarecrows for the annual contest.  Vote for the Library's scarecrow!  We think you'll be impressed by the talents of the boy scouts who built our scarecrow!  You can pick up a ballot at the Library, Farmer's Market or Benicia Main Street.  Voting ends October 20.   More information.

Granizo Art Tiles

If you enjoy the Granzio tiles on First Street you won't want to miss Saturday, September 13's display in the Doña Benicia Room from 3 - 5 pm.

In conjunction with September's Art Walk the Library will highlight thirteen Granizo tiles from the Benicia Historical Museum's collection.

Guillermo Wagner Granizo is one of the world's premier ceramic-tile muralists.

Library to Go Overdrive Media Console and iOS7 Upgrade Fix

If you are an exisiting OverDrive Media Console (OMC) user and you have upgraded your Apple devise to iOS7, your OverDrive app will fail to open the books.   Go to the Apple App Store and download OverDrive Media Console v. 3.0.2 to solve the issue.  You will have to reauthorize your device.   New or first time users of OMC are unaffected by this issue.
