 Adult Learner Leadership Institute

(ALLI)

The Adult Learner Leadership Institute is a training workshop designed for adult learners by adult learners.  The training, led by trained alumni of the Institute, is spread over six sessions, one Saturday a month, to teach leadership skills through practical exercises.  Topics include goal setting, advocacy, self-esteem, presentation skills, oral and written communication, networking, computer technology, and life coaching.

Literacy Classes and Workshops

Mondays and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.  

Small group classes are provided at Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced ESL levels. Learn or perfect your grammar, conversation, reading, writing, survival skills and more.

Computer Lab

Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.

Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. 

Edna Clyne Room

Improve your reading, writing, English and keyboarding skills. Hands-on support and great computer software is available. Tutor support is encouraged and welcomed.

 

Conversation Groups

Tuesdays and Wednesdays  10:00 a.m.

 Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.

Conversation groups are for adult learners enrolled in the Adult Literacy & ESL Program. Learning is more than reading and writing; it's talking, too!

 

Learner Book Group

4th Thursdays 12:30 p.m.

Edna Clyne Room

Join us as we read new books each month. Also learn more about reading, writing and developing critical thinking skills. Tutors are welcome to attend with their learners.
