Marshall Zaslove, MD will present a workshop that will explore and demonstrate the latest discoveries into preventive, healing, and the pain-relieving effects of meditation. Dr. Zazlove is an experienced physician/researcher with 36 years of mediation experience. He will base his presentation on the book ‘Inner and Outer Peace through Meditation’ by Rajinder Singh.
Friends of the Library Book Sale - The second Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the Friends hold a book sale in the Library basement. In May and November they hold their “Bag of Book Sale.”
Friends members only pre-sale - On the Thursday evening before the monthly book sale there is a pre sale for members of the Friends in the Library basement from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Membership is available at the door.
For months Literacy students have been working on the book "Through Our Eyes" and now it is published. "Through Our Eyes" tells about their experiences in Benicia and included pictures they took. Tonight will be a Author's Reception for these writers. Refreshments will be served.
For this day and week the focus is on Literacy in our community and the country. Events will be held to focus on Literacy of Adults.
