CLUB

This is a great way for teens to get together and talk about the books they want to read. Once a month the teen book club meets with the Teen Services Librarian to gossip about the latest trends in teen novels. New teens and ideas for books are always welcome!

SEPTEMBER:

We will be reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower (one of the top 10 banned or challenged books of 2007) to start celebrating BANNED BOOKS WEEK early! Banned Books

OCTOBER:

Gothic!

Book:  Gothic!: Ten Original Dark Tales by various young adult authors

Read these great stories by authors like Vivian Vande Velde, Garth Nix, Neil Gaiman and M.T. Anderson.

 


NOVEMBER:

Illustrated Man

Book:  The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury

Date:     Monday, November 24 (This is the 4th Monday of the month)

It is time to get old school and read some classic sci-fi and thriller with Ray Bradbury.
