LIBRARY CARDS

eCARD Application

Fill out the SPLASH eCard Application completely and immediately receive a library card number by email. eCards will allow access to all our electronic databases and will also provide access to placement of holds in the online catalog.

What is an eCard?

The ecard is an electronically produced and distributed library card that offers significant, but limited access to our resources. With an ecard, customers can access electronic databases, borrow eBooks, and place holds in the online catalog remotely.

An ecard does NOT provide access to check out books or media or use the library’s computer workstations. A full access library card is needed for these services. You must be a Solano County or St. Helena resident to receive an ecard.

What is a full access library card?

A full access library card is another way to describe the card that we offer all California residents who visit a library with a positive picture ID. It is necessary for ecard holders to fully register for a full access card in order to check out books and media or use the public access computers at the library. Any California resident can obtain a full access library card.

Convert your ecard to a full access library card by:

  • by coming to the library and choosing one of the new designs shown above
  • presenting a valid picture ID.
  • customers age 0 - 17 years of age, must also provide parental consent in order to obtain a full-access library card.
